Profile

I have been married to Walter for 45 years. We have two children. Catherine is a teacher who lives in Polokwane. Wayne is a project manager for a Cape Town company and is engaged to a lovely young lady, Anelle.

Walter is supportive of my crafting endeavours, either by being my critic or buying me "machines" to help me with my crafts.

I have a Cricut (cutting) machine which I just love as well as a Trouvaille and a Cuttlebug, both use dies to cut and emboss.

I started making cards seriously 18 months ago when I attended classes at Country Crafts with Hendrien Vosloo. More recently I have been invited to also give some classes.

DRESSING TABLE CARD

Tuesday was card making class at Country Crafts.  This is such a nice shape card and lends itself to such a lot of pretty embellishments.

Card made in class

Card made at home

As you can see if I like a card then I usually make more than one.  The card made in class used paper from the Country Companions pack, but the second card was made using scraps (all bits and pieces are saved for 'just in case'). Embellisments are bits of lace, flat backed pearls, pearls on a string as well as charms with a few punched flowers and leaves. The lady on the mirror is from a set of stamps - sorry cannot remember the make. Thank you Ursula for a great class.

  1. Oh My!! I just love these two cards. So feminine and I would guess not difficult to make. Just need the inspiration and love it that you can use up the little bits. Luv, luv them!
