Profile

I have been married to Walter for 45 years. We have two children. Catherine is a teacher who lives in Polokwane. Wayne is a project manager for a Cape Town company and is engaged to a lovely young lady, Anelle.

Walter is supportive of my crafting endeavours, either by being my critic or buying me "machines" to help me with my crafts.

I have a Cricut (cutting) machine which I just love as well as a Trouvaille and a Cuttlebug, both use dies to cut and emboss.

I started making cards seriously 18 months ago when I attended classes at Country Crafts with Hendrien Vosloo. More recently I have been invited to also give some classes.

Your comments on this blog will be most welcome.

I would like to thank two people who have encouraged me with this blog and who are so willing to give assistance - Thank you Ursula and Moz.

ANOTHER MAGNOLIA STAMP

As you can see I am really enjoying my new Magnolia stamps.
Together with the stamp I have used 3 Marianne dies - the tree, bird & bird house plus the fence.  The flowers are punched and stuck onto a Martha Stewart border punch.  Background paper is from the Papermania paper pack 'Birdsong'.

MAGNOLIA STAMPS

At last I have acquired some Magnolia stamps - here is my first card using one of the stamps.
Used Papermania pink Capsule Collection by Jesse Edwards for the background.  Tilda was stamped onto a cut-out using a X-cut die.  The fancy heart is a Martha Stewart punch and the ribbon used is Anita's Everyday Ribbon (spotted  soft pink).

DRAWER CARD

This card was inspired by a beautiful card made by Ursula and the blue Papermania Capsule Collection by Jesse Edwards.
Have used two embossing folders for the top of the drawer, 1 received free with a docrafts magazine and the other for the acetate window by Crafts-Too you.
